OUR FOUNDER

John Owens, former US Navy SEAL, founder of FiveFiveSix Vodka, and President of Naked Warrior Project is an inspiration to all. John is a real-life hero, a father, a husband, and an American patriot who has made it his life’s mission to serve and protect his country and his community.

For the last 20 years, Mr. Owens has served the United States Government and spent extensive time with small teams traveling to the Middle East.

Mr. Owens founded Naked Warrior Project as a memorial for his brother, Navy SEAL Ryan Owens, who was Killed In Action in January 2017. Naked Warrior Project creates programs and raises funds to support injured Special Operations Veterans and their families, and serves to memorialize those who have fallen. In addition to several signature fundraising events hosted throughout the year, FiveFiveSix Vodka will donate a percentage of revenues to Naked Warrior Project.

Mr. Owens still deploys overseas for the United States Government and spends his free time home with his wife and two daughters. Prior to leaving the Navy, he received a Bronze Star, Navy Achievement Medal with Combat “V”, Combat Action Ribbon (2), and a Presidential Unit Citation.

A Note from Mr. Owens

“When you travel to far-off lands and do the work that most are unwilling to do, you strive to find a shared sense of purpose with those that you meet in passing and the team members that become family. No matter where I was, the common ground we always found was to honor our patriotism.

I created FiveFiveSix Vodka because I wanted to find a way to bring our country together to share in tradition, and to create a brand that would honor the memory of my brother Ryan (and those damn few like him), and give back to those who have served.”
